How to download Facebook videos on iPhone

Save any public Facebook video or Reel to your camera roll in HD, using Safari and the Files app.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Copy the video’s link

In the Facebook app, tap Share under the video, then Copy link. fb.watch links work too.

  2. 2

Paste it into FetchBolt in Safari

Open the Facebook video downloader in Safari and paste the link into the box.

  3. 3

    Download HD or SD

Tap Download next to HD for the best picture, or SD for a smaller file. The video goes to Downloads in Files.

  4. 4

    Save it to Photos

In the Files app, open Downloads, tap the video, then Share and Save Video.

HD or SD?

Facebook usually offers each video in HD and SD. HD looks sharp on any iPhone; SD is handy when storage is tight.

Which videos work

Public videos, Reels and Watch videos all work. Videos shared in private groups or only with friends can’t be reached, because FetchBolt never signs in to Facebook.

The tool for the job

Everything above uses the Facebook Video Downloader. MP4 in HD and SD when available, and the audio as MP3.
