How to save TikTok videos to your iPhone

Keep TikToks in your camera roll as clean MP4s, without the moving watermark, using Safari and the Files app.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Copy the video’s link

In TikTok, tap Share (the arrow on the right), then Copy link.

  2. 2

Paste it into FetchBolt in Safari

Open the TikTok downloader in Safari, tap the box and paste the link.

  3. 3

    Download the MP4

Tap Download. When Safari asks, tap Download again. The video goes to Downloads in the Files app.

  4. 4

    Save it to Photos

Open the Files app, go to Downloads, tap the video, then Share and Save Video.

Why not TikTok’s Save video button?

TikTok’s own Save video button re-encodes the clip with a moving logo and the creator’s username, and some creators turn saving off. FetchBolt saves the original upload, without the watermark.

If Safari doesn’t download

Open Settings, then Safari, then Downloads, and check a location is set. Make sure the video is public; private videos can’t be downloaded.

The tool for the job

Everything above uses the TikTok Video Downloader. MP4 without the watermark when TikTok provides one, the watermarked version as a fallback, and the sound as MP3.
